Lokally is a Shopify app built specifically for Indian brands that need to manage pricing, payments, and content differently per region - without building multiple stores.
What Lokally does
Indian e-commerce operates across radically different markets. A shopper in Mumbai, a shopper in Jaipur, and a shopper in a small town in Bihar have different price sensitivity, different COD reliability rates, and respond to different regional promotions. Yet Shopify's default configuration gives every shopper the same price, the same payment options, and the same storefront content.
Lokally adds a location layer on top of your existing Shopify store. Shoppers enter their pincode once via the Lokally pincode widget. From that moment, the price they see, the payment methods available at checkout, and the banners on your storefront are specific to their location. No coupon codes, no separate stores, no custom development.
Regional pricing
Set different prices by pincode (a city, a state or your own zones) using Shopify Functions. Real price changes at checkout - not display-only. Tier 1/2/3 pricing, state-specific prices, or franchise territory pricing. Lokally can only lower prices.
COD and payment management
Hide COD in high-RTO pincodes, show COD only in specific regions, rename 'Cash on Delivery' to 'Pay on Delivery', or hide it above an order value. Uses Shopify Functions.
Location-based content
Show different banners, announcement bars, countdown timers, or product availability by region. Powered by Shopify Theme Extensions placed via Theme Editor.
Pincode widget
The customer-facing widget that captures location. More reliable than guessing location from IP addresses, which are often wrong on mobile networks and VPNs. Pincode is the universal address standard in India.

Lokally is built on Shopify's native extension points: Shopify Functions at checkout and theme app extensions on the storefront.
Shopify Functions
Power Regional Pricing and Payment Rules. Functions run inside Shopify's infrastructure at checkout time, ensuring prices are correct in the actual Shopify order - not a display layer that could diverge from the real price.
Theme app extensions
App blocks power Location Content. Merchants place Lokally blocks via the standard theme editor - no code required. Works with Online Store 2.0 themes that support app blocks.
Pincode-based targeting
Instead of IP geolocation. India's postal code system covers every address. Shoppers enter their pincode once in the Lokally popup or widget; it's remembered on their device for 30 days.
Single store, all regions
One product catalog, one Shopify admin, one order stream - Lokally rules handle all regional differentiation without store proliferation.

Lokally's four core features are: Regional Pricing (different prices by pincode, grouped into cities, states or zones, applied at checkout by Shopify Functions), COD & Payment Management (hide or rename payment methods by region, and hide cash on delivery above an order value), Location-Based Content (show different banners, announcement bars and countdown timers per region, and show or hide sections and collections by region, via Shopify theme app blocks), and the Pincode Popup and Widget (where shoppers enter their pincode to see their region's prices and content).
How does Lokally implement regional pricing - is it display-only or real price changes?
Lokally uses Shopify Functions to implement real price changes at checkout level, not display-only tricks. The price a shopper sees in the cart and pays in checkout is the actual Shopify order price - it appears correctly in Shopify admin, tax calculations, and order exports.
Does Lokally require a separate Shopify store per region?
No. Lokally is specifically designed to let Indian brands manage regional complexity from a single Shopify store. One product catalog, one Shopify admin, one set of orders - with all regional differentiation handled by Lokally rules.
How does Lokally determine a shopper's location?
Lokally uses a pincode input widget placed on the storefront. The shopper enters their pincode, and Lokally uses that pincode to apply the correct pricing, payment, and content rules. This is more reliable than guessing location from the shopper's IP address, which is often wrong on mobile networks and VPNs.
What pricing plans does Lokally offer?
One plan with every feature: Pro Monthly at $9.99 every 30 days, or Pro Annual at $99 a year. Both have a 7-day free trial and are billed through Shopify. There are no per-order or per-rule fees.
